Uso del texto escolar de lengua y literatura en el séptimo año de educación general básica en la Unidad Educativa Bilingüe "WilliamThomson Internacional".

Abstract

The present research work consists in the analysis of the use of the book of the textbook of Language and Literature of the seventh year of General Basic Education in the William Thomson International Educational Unit located in the city of Quito. For this purpose, the case study methodology was used, through the application of instruments such as the survey of 6 students, interview with the teacher or tutor of the aforementioned area, and the observation form collected in the classrooms. Finally, from the analysis of the results it was possible to determine that the texts have characteristics, dynamic, creative contents, colorful presentations, above all they promote humanistic and moral values. So also that promotes the appreciation and recognition of interculturality. On the other hand, the congruence of the content is considerable and its suitability of use, according to the level of studies, is possible as long as clear and suitable contents are presented.
