Abstract

Units 22 and 23 of the MOSEIB are aimed at Chachi teachers and students from Esmeraldas. They are part of third grade. Both their own and universal cultural knowledge have been integrated. Science, reading, writing, and mathematics are explained from a concrete perspective. Learning is contextualized using the agroecological cycle, cosmic consciousness, semiotics, and linguistics. Taptana is used as a tool to understand the positional number system, which is the basis for mathematical operations.
