Análisis de la situación económica del sector camaronero guayaquileño

Abstract

The shrimp industry represents one of the most important sources of wealth for the Ecuadorian economy. For this reason, the objective of the study was to analyze the economic situation of the Guayaquil shrimp sector, period 2018-2023. The methodology applied was descriptive, nonexperimental, transversal, documentary, with a mixed or qualitative-quantitative approach, with statistical analysis of 24 official records on variables of the shrimp industry and GDP, as well as a validated interview formulated with three experts in this matter. to understand the evolution of this productive sector, identify the challenges facing the sector, the factors that affect or benefit the shrimp environment and the measures to strengthen its competitiveness.
