Abstract: La Empresa Pública Metropolitana de Agua Potable y Saneamiento EPMAPS es una empresa que brinda servicios de agua potable y saneamiento a la ciudad de Quito, dentro de la cual está la Planta de Tratamiento Bellavista. En la Planta Bellavista han existido algunos incidentes y accidentes, por ello se requiere realizar un rediseño del sistema de Seguridad Industrial y Salud Ocupacional (SISO) con el fin de mejorarlo y velar por la integridad física de las personas que ahí laboran. Además es una obligación de las empresas velar por el bienestar de sus trabajadores, ya que está contemplado en la legislación vigente.
Translated abstract: The Public Metropolitan Water and Sanitation Company EPMAPS is a company that provides water and sanitation services to the city of Quito, within is the Bellavista Treatment Plant. In the Bellavista Plant there have been some incidents and accidents, that is why it is required to make a redesign of the Industrial Safety and Occupational Health System (SISO), in order to improve and ensure the physical integrity of the people who work there. It is also a requirement for companies to ensure the welfare of their workers, as it is referred in the current Ecuadorian legislation.
