| Abstract: | The identification of Bisphenol A (BPA) in water contained in PET-type bottles marketed in the city of Cuenca-Ecuador, was carried out using IR and UV spectroscopy. Various concentrations (mg/L) were found in 10 brands of bottled water, which were compared with international regulations, determining the presence of this toxic. |
| Translated abstract: | La identificación de Bisfenol A (BPA) en agua contenida en botellas tipo PET comercializadas en la ciudad de Cuenca-Ecuador se realizó mediante espectroscopía IR y UV. Se encontraron varias concentraciones (mg/L) en 10 marcas de agua embotellada, las cuales se compararon con normativa internacional, determinando la presencia de este tóxico. |
