Estructuración de costos (ingresos-gastos) en el servicio de transporte privado escolar, ubicado al norte de Quito en el año 2022

Abstract

The school transportation service in the city of Quito during the period of 2022, after the events of the pandemic (Covid-19 2020), had a slight change regarding how they managed their costs and expenses in the service they provided to students. of schools and colleges in that year of 2022. The main objective is to analyze the cost structure (income-expenses) of the private school transportation service in the north of Quito for the year already named. This study was carried out to examine the cost structure (income-expenses) of the private school transportation service in the north of Quito in the year 2022, for this reason it was decided to carry out quantitative descriptive research to know and understand the analysis of costs and expenses associated with the school transportation service. By describing the different components of the cost (rate), the characteristics of the service and the variables that affect it, they also helped in decision making; Because of all this previously mentioned, the formulation of questions was applied based on the aspects that are part of the school transportation service; such as: resources, maintenance, expenses, income, resulting in the writing of the survey that included questions on aspects such as insurance, administrative expenses, fuel, vehicle maintenance, tolls, payment of transportation assistants, transportation rates, number of students transported and routes traveled. As findings, it was found that the analysis of the equilibrium point developed in the research can be an important tool to assess the impact of competition, the local economy and public policies on private school transportation services. Furthermore, the fare classification system for private school transportation services can be a valuable tool for transportation companies when making strategic decisions
