| Abstract: | The objective of this research project is to implement rice husk in the conventional block because Ecuador is one of the largest exporters in the world. For this reason, it was decided to make blocks with rice husk replacing it in different percentages: 25, 50 and 100 percent in the Chasqui, comparing it with the traditional block. The blocks were subjected to compression, flexural and tensile tests, where it was found that the block with 25% rice husk was the one with the best resistance. |
| Translated abstract: | El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo la implementación de cáscara de arroz en el bloque convencional debido a que Ecuador es uno de los mayores exportadores a nivel mundial. Por tal motivo se decidió realizar bloques con cáscara de arroz reemplazando en distintos porcentajes: 25, 50 y 100 por ciento en el Chasqui, comparándole con el bloque tradicional. Los bloques fueron sometidos a ensayos de compresión, flexión y tracción, donde se obtuvo que el bloque con el 25% de cáscara de arroz fue el que obtuvo una mejor resistencia. |
