| Abstract: | This study evaluates the oil extraction from soybean and sunflower seeds using the Soxhlet method with a steam explosion pretreatment. The pretreatment improves soybean oil extraction, benefiting the vegetable oil industry. However, in the case of sunflower seeds, the pretreatment does not increase the yield. |
| Translated abstract: | Este estudio evalúa la extracción de aceite de semillas de soja y girasol mediante el método Soxhlet con pretratamiento de explosión por vapor. El pretratamiento mejora la extracción de aceite de soja, beneficiando la industria de aceites vegetales. Sin embargo, para las semillas de girasol, el pretratamiento no incrementa el rendimiento. |
