Afectación del comercio internacional por cierre de frontera entre Ecuador y USA debido al COVID 19

Abstract

The present investigation analyzes the impact of international trade between Ecuador and the United States in the context of the temporary closure of borders due to COVID-19 through a non-experimental and quantitative study that provides explanatory and descriptive scope for exporting and importing companies registered within the SENAE system. In the same way, field studies have been conducted on the implementation and development of surveys conducted with directors or managers in the companies. The results obtained show that the closure of borders has indeed affected the commercial relationship between Ecuador and the United States, citing the lack of products as one of the main reasons. Therefore, other factors or consequences of this unexpected situation are the reduction of personnel, change of logistics processes, reorganization, and integration of external logistics operators.
