| Abstract: | This article objective is analyzing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on remittances in the Girón canton, through a mixed research approach: quantitative and qualitative. The main results show that the majority of people receive monthly remittances and the destination in a greater proportion to consumption, to cover daily expenses such as food, health or education. |
| Translated abstract: | El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el impacto de la pandemia del COVID-19 sobre las remesas en el cantón Girón, mediante un enfoque de investigación mixta: cuantitativa y cualitativa. Los principales resultados muestran que la mayoría de las personas reciben las remesas mensualmente y la destinan en mayor proporción al consumo, para cubrir gastos diarios como alimentación, salud o educación. |
