La discriminación en la escuela: estudio de caso en el nivel preescolar de un centro educativo de la ciudad de Quito .

Abstract

This research work aims to analyze the forms of social discrimination in the classroom of Inicial II of an educational institution in the north of Quito. The research had its origin during the pre-professional practical hours where I had an approach to the educational context in the third semester. The problems related to discrimination were analyzed through bibliographical inquiries; in addition, the application of field research methods such as observation, interview and ethnographies was used. The problem arose from the social reproduction of the actions and behaviors of teachers and students. As well as socialization while the children played and during the presentation of slogans of the teachers. Everything resulted in discriminatory treatment with characteristics such as sexism, racism, undervaluation, among others. The collection of information from this work yielded results that contrasted between field diaries and interviews. It was verified that discriminatory characteristics were part of the school days in the preschool area. Social and discriminatory actions were reproduced that were not corrected by the teachers or did not have feedback to dialogue about this problem. The research work consists of study problem, questions, objectives, justification, methodology, description of the problem, introduction, theoretical framework, analysis of the information, presentation of findings, conclusions, bibliography and annexes.
