Determinación de la actividad insecticida, repelente y antialimentaria del aceite esencial del molle (Schinus molle) en trips (Frankliniella occidentalis)

Abstract

The insecticidal, repellent and antifeedant activity of the essential oil of Schinus molle on Frankliniella occidentalis was evaluated to know the mode of action of the oil on the insect. The insects were tested for contact toxicity, repellency tests by the free choice method and antifeedant tests using cubes of crushed kidney tomato without possibility of choice. The essential oil of Schinus molle showed insecticidal, repellent and antifeedant activity on Frankliniella occidentalis.
