ACTIVIDADES ANTROPOGÉNICAS Y LA DINÁMICA DE LA QUITRIDIOMICOSIS COMO ENFERMEDAD INFECCIOSA DE ANFIBIOS NEOTROPICALES

Abstract

Algunas actividades antropogénicas han demostrado ser las causantes de afectaciones en un gran número de especies de anfibios. La fragmentación de los bosques, el cambio del uso del suelo, las especies introducidas y el cambio climático son factores que durante las últimas décadas han afectado ostensiblemente a la biodiversidad herpetofaunística de todo el Planeta; siendo una de las regiones más afectadas la del Neotrópico. En el presente trabajo se analizan algunos de estos factores y su influencia negativa sobre la composición y diversidad de herpetofauna en esta región, resaltando la presencia de Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis como elemento sustancial que está conduciendo a la extinción a muchas especies de anfibios en Latinoamérica. // Some human activities have proven to be the cause of damages in a large number of species of amphibians. Forests fragmentation, land use change, introduced species and climate change are factors that in recent decades have greatly affected the biodiversity of herpetofauna of the entire planet, being the Neotropics one of the most affected region. In this paper we discuss some of these factors and their negative influence on the composition and diversity of herpetofauna in the region, highlighting the presence of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis as a substantial element that is leading to the extinction of many species of amphibians in Latin America.
