| Abstract: | La presente investigación fue realizada en el Administrador Aeroportuario de Quito, empresa responsable de la administración y operación del aeropuerto de Quito; con el objetivo de realizar un Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo basado en la Norma OHSAS 18001:2007, para cuando la organización lo considere conveniente sea implementado para lograr una administración efectiva de los riesgos de una manera estructurada. Para tener un punto de partida de la situación respecto al tema de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo del Administrador Aeroportuario de Quito se realizó un diagnóstico de la situación actual de la organización en cuanto al cumplimiento de la Norma OHSAS y la Normativa Legal Vigente; también se realizó un levantamiento cualitativo a través de conversatorios con los colaboradores y personal de Seguridad y Salud de la organización; los mecanismos antes citados permitieron la valoración de los riesgos identificados en la organización. Con el objeto de complementar la información cualitativa se aplicaron métodos cuantitativos como mediciones de factores de riesgos: iluminación, ruido, temperatura y humedad relativa, y cuantitativas como: listas de evaluación de factores de riesgos. Los datos obtenidos de la aplicación de metodologías cualitativas y cuantitativas contribuyeron en forma significativa para estructurar el Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, basado en la mejora continua. El aplicar el Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el trabajo proporcionará herramientas al Administrador Aeroportuario de Quito que le permitirán crear una cultura de prevención y mantener competitividad y prestigio ante sus colaboradores, contratistas y accionistas. La herramienta principal constituye el Manual de Gestión de Salud y Seguridad en el Trabajo en el cual se enlistan todos los documentos y procedimientos requeridos por la norma OHSAS 18001:2007 para una futura implementación del Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo. |
| Translated abstract: | This research was carried out by the Airport Administrator of Quito, the company responsible for managing and operating the airport in Quito; with the purpose of developing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the Workplace, based on the OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard, for when the organization considers it convenient to be implemented to achieve effective management of risks in a structured manner. In order to have a starting point regarding matters related to Occupational Health and Safety in the Workplace of the Airport Administrator of Quito, a diagnostic of the current situation of the organization was carried out with regards to compliance with the OHSAS Standard and the legal framework in force. Additionally, qualitative information was researched through conversations with collaborators and Health and Safety personnel of the organization; the aforementioned mechanisms allowed for classifying the risks identified in the organization. With the aim of complementing the qualitative information, quantitative methods were applied, such as measuring risk factors related to lighting, noise, temperature and relative humidity, as well as risk factors evaluation lists. The data obtained from applying qualitative and quantitative methodologies has significantly contributed to the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the Workplace, based on continuous improvement. Applying the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the Workplace will provide tools for the Airport Administrator of Quito, which will allow for creating a culture of prevention, in addition to maintaining competitiveness and prestige with its collaborators, contractors and shareholders. The primary tool is the Occupational Health and Safety in the Workplace Manual, which lists all of the documents and procedures required by the OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard for future implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the Workplace. |
