| Abstract: | Basket makers called "cesteros" from San Joaquin parish are characterized by their skilled hands that weave plant fibers such as "duda" and "suro", shaping in this way their worldview in each basket they make. For this reason, a study of the names of the techniques used in the weaving as well as the meaning of the colors used was performed. In addition, 64 basketry products are cataloged. |
| Translated abstract: | Los cesteros de la parroquia San Joaquín, se caracterizan por sus hábiles manos que entretejen las fibras vegetales como la duda y el suro, plasmando su cosmovisión en cada cesto que realizan. Sin embargo, se realizó un estudio sobre los nombres de sus técnicas empleadas en el entretejido y el significado de los colores que usan, además se catalogó 64 productos de cestería. |
