| Abstract: | La memoria colectiva, entendida no tanto como un ejercicio colectivo de representación más que como una facultad mnemónica, constituye uno de los más significativos e importantes elementos mediante los cuales un colectivo social despliega y negocia su identidad. Este trabajo desarrolla de manera particular varios aspectos de la memoria colectiva del barrio “El Salto” de Latacunga, a través de los testimonios de miembros antiguos de esta comunidad barrial que han desarrollado un sentimiento de pertenencia, resaltando, a través de los marcos sociales por medio de los cuales se fija la memoria colectiva, ciertos elementos que constituyen parte del patrimonio y heredad local. |
| Translated abstract: | The Collective Memory, understood not as a collective exercise of representation rather than a mnemonic faculty, is one of the most significant and important elements by which a social group displays and negotiate their identity. The present work develops in a particular way several aspects of the collective memory of the neighborhood "El Salto" Latacunga, through the testimonies of former members of the neighborhood community who have developed a sense of belonging, highlighting, through the social frameworks for through which collective memory is fixed, certain elements that are part of the local heritage and inheritance. |
