Análisis de cobertura del sistema de televisión digital terrestre para el canal 47 en la Ciudad Quito.

Abstract

The thesis project aims to the analysis of the system of Digital Terrestrial Television coverage on channel 47 with coverage in Quito’s city. The first chapter describes the need for coverage analysis, is also given to meet the objectives that you want to meet, as well as the scope which will be in the development of this work. The chapter focuses on a brief theoretical study of the digital television standard adopted in Ecuador (ISDB-Tb). Also the concepts relevant to the study of propagation of the signal to receivers and losses throughout his career. In addition is a theoretical description concerning the relays as a possible solution to cover the areas of shadow. In the third chapter is about the analysis of the theorists of the ISDB-Tb standard parameters, then discussed the parameters with which the channel 47 Digital Terrestrial Television transmission system is configured. Chapter four contains the coverage area design simulated with the software of WinRPT predictions, also are measurements of intensity of the signal of Digital Television with the ISDB-Tb standard field operating on channel 47 in the city of Quito, finally located the areas of shadow of populated areas in the city of Quito the best alternative is suggested to deal with the absence of coverage of the DTT signal, using transposers Gap Filler. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations are presented as a result of the work done.
