Abstract: Presenta dos alternativas de diseño para el sistema de alcantarillado: la primera consiste en el diseño del sistema de alcantarillado sanitario con el empleo de tubería de hormigón, adicionando a éste el diseño de las plantas de tratamiento primario (tanques imhoff) en las zonas de descarga; la segunda consiste en el diseño del sistema de alcantarillado pluvial con la combinación de tuberías de hormigón para diámetros menores a 500 mm y tubería plástica para diámetros superiores, para lo cual se utiliza como guía las especificaciones dadas por el Código Ecuatoriano de Construcción para obras de Saneamiento a Poblaciones rurales, y las normas de diseño de la Empresa Publica Metropolitana de Saneamiento y Agua Potable de Quito.
Translated abstract: It presents two design alternatives for the sewage system: the first one consists in the design of the sanitary sewer system with the use of concrete pipes, adding to this the design of the primary treatment plants (imhoff tanks) in the unloading areas ; the second consists of the design of the storm sewer system with the combination of concrete pipes for diameters less than 500 mm and plastic pipe for higher diameters, for which the specifications given by the Ecuadorian Construction Code for works of Sanitation to rural populations, and the design standards of the Metropolitan Public Sanitation and Potable Water Company of Quito.
