Abstract

This thesis presents the rehabilitation of the El Arenal–Puente de Lourdes roadway in Ricaurte Parish. Structural failures, pavement deterioration, and drainage deficiencies attributable to heavy traffic loads and inadequate maintenance were identified. Based on technical studies and a comprehensive pavement condition assessment, the geometric and structural pavement design was developed. The proposed intervention includes the reuse of existing materials, drainage improvements, and the construction of a new asphalt wearing course to restore roadway safety and serviceability.
