| Abstract: | The relationship between isolation and anxiety was analyzed in 50 inmates at the Cañar No. 2 Detention Center. The BAI and UCLA scales were administered. A moderate negative correlation was found (rho = -0.466; p < 0.001). The greater the isolation, the lower the anxiety. Progressive emotional adaptation was evident. |
| Translated abstract: | Se analizó la relación entre el aislamiento y la ansiedad en 50 personas privadas de libertad del Centro de Privación de Libertad Cañar N.º 2. Se aplicaron las escalas BAI y UCLA. Se halló una correlación negativa moderada (rho = -0.466; p < 0.001). A mayor aislamiento, menor ansiedad. Se evidenciándose una adaptación emocional progresiva. |
