Abstract

This research focuses on the analysis of economic violence in the context of marriage and divorce. The study explores the legal, economic and social consequences of this problem, paying special attention to the vulnerability of the victims, especially those who are in precarious economic situations. Through an exhaustive review of the literature and empirical data, we seek to identify existing gaps in the problem during research and current legal practices, proposing viable solutions to address this problem and guarantee the protection of victims. Economic violence, such as manipulation for control of financial resources, has a significant impact on women, generating economic dependence and hindering their access to justice. The study analyzes the various manifestations of this violence, such as the legal and social barriers that prevent its identification and punishment. In addition, the psychological and social consequences of this problem are explored, and strategies are proposed to prevent and care for the victims
