Delitos informáticos: un análisis jurídico integral de las amenazas en el entorno digital

Abstract

The study analyzes the regulation of cybercrimes in Ecuador and its impact on digital security. It concludes that Ecuadorian legislation is insufficient to address cyber threats, as it is neither sufficiently updated nor detailed. Surveys conducted reveal that both experts and the general population perceive a lack of protection against cybercrimes, raising concerns. In comparison, countries like Argentina and Colombia have more advanced legal frameworks that allow for a better response to these threats. The research emphasizes the urgent need to update and strengthen Ecuadorian legislation to enhance digital security in the country.
