Abstract

The present research explores the topic of academic reinforcement, with the objective of analyzing the development of pedagogical reinforcement in the area of Language and Literature in the seventh year of General Basic Education in order to know how it is developed, the foundations, the moments and the function of reinforcement. The methodology of this case study was qualitative, the scope was exploratory, descriptive and explanatory, the research method was ethnographic, the techniques used were participant observation and interview, the instruments used were the field diary and the interview guide. The population and sample consists of teachers and students. The results obtained demonstrate the teachers’ lack of knowledge about pedagogical reinforcement, the incorrect implementation of the process and the limited progress of students in terms of their learning outcomes, thus concluding that the knowledge and effective application of academic reinforcement by teachers is crucial to offer an education of excellence that favors the holistic development of students
