| Abstract: | The project analyzes how the type of structural analysis in a reinforced concrete structure with seismic isolation impacts construction quantities. Two models were compared in Etabs, based on NEC, ACI, and ASCE standards, and visualized in Revit. The time-history analysis showed a 13% savings in steel, outperforming the modal spectral analysis in efficiency, although the choice of method depends on the tools and the scale of the project. |
| Translated abstract: | El proyecto analiza cómo el tipo de análisis estructural en una estructura de hormigón armado con aislación sísmica impacta las cantidades de obra. Se compararon dos modelos en Etabs, basados en normativas NEC, ACI y ASCE, visualizados en Revit. El análisis tiempo historia mostró un ahorro del 13% en acero, superando al análisis modal espectral en eficiencia, aunque la elección del método dependerá de las herramientas y la escala del proyecto. |
