| Abstract: | The Emilio Sarmiento Road, located in Cuenca, connects the Monay Baguanchi and El Valle roads. The Project aims to improve its geometric and structural design to optimize traffic flow, with a length of 1.72 km, a design speed of 50 km/h, and an 8% superelevation. A topographic survey and traffic study (AADT of 781 vehicles in 2024) guided the design of two lanes, each 3 meters wide. The geotechnical analysis showed a CBR of 7%, indicating fair-to-good quality soil. The project ensures traffic flow, road safety, and the durability of the infrastructure. |

El proyecto busca mejorar su diseño geométrico y estructural para optimizar el tránsito, con una longitud de 1.72 km, velocidad de diseño de 50 km/h y peralte del 8%. Un levantamiento topográfico y un estudio de tráfico (TPDA de 781 vehículos en 2024) guiaron el diseño de dos carriles de 3 metros cada uno. El análisis geotécnico reveló un CBR del 7%, indicando suelo de calidad regular. El proyecto asegura fluidez, seguridad vial y durabilidad de la infraestructura. |
