Mejoramiento de la vía “S46”, que conecta la Av. Mariscal Sucre y la Av. Quitumbe Ñan, en la Parroquia Quitumbe, cantón Quito, provincia Pichincha

Abstract

The present technical project is located in the Quito canton, Quitumbe Parish, which connects two avenues with high vehicular traffic such as Av. Mariscal Sucre and Av. Quitumbe Ñan, has a length of 750 m but maintains an initial design of 2 lanes and subsequently widens to 4 lanes. The objective of the project is based on solving the evident needs such as the current state of the road and the increase in population density. In this project, the number of lanes will be maintained, but a significant improvement will be sought based on the results presented by the field studies and the subsequent analysis, starting from the topographic survey which shows us more clearly the physical characteristics on which the project is based. After this, the volume of vehicles that transit is studied in order to determine the corresponding type of road. With all the results obtained, we proceed to carry out the geometric design of the road, in addition we determine the loads that it will support in order to later design the structure of the necessary pavement. A hydrological study will also be carried out to justify the installation of gutters and sewers if necessary for the project. In turn, the corresponding vertical and horizontal signage will be implemented. In addition, a study of the environmental impact that the project will cause will be carried out. Finally, an economic-financial analysis will be carried out, which will allow us to know indicators such as NPV, IRR, and the cost-benefit that we will obtain with the materialization of this project.
