Abstract

The constant seismic events that hit the country, mainly on the Ecuadorian coast, are the cause of the collapse of several buildings that house lives inside. This problem demands that the structures to be built in the country be capable of resisting the seismic events that can reach happen in the future, therefore, this project proposes the design and calculation of an earthquake-resistant structure located in the canton of La Libertad in order to guarantee the safety of the residents.
