Análisis geo-mecánico de cimentaciones rocosas de presas en hormigón a gravedad

Abstract

Starting from an investigation and compilation of existing information on the geomechanical properties of rock masses, a compendium has been made in which these average values have been placed depending on the type and considering different rock masses found in the mountain region of Ecuador, with in order to be able to apply it to the identification of rock quality using the geomechanical parameters RQD and RMR, through its interaction with a concrete gravity dam of 4 different geometries of 30, 50, 65, 85 meters respectively and in three descriptions of rock: excellent, average and very poor, giving a total of 12 study scenarios, to finally evaluate its response to the forces that the dam will exert on the rock mass and be able to determine whether or not it will support the applied load.
