Abstract

This study seeks to revitalize the history, customs and unique knowledge of the community, using new audiovisual narratives to engage the young generation in the appreciation of local tradition. The general objective is to carry out the production of an audiovisual series to strengthen the cultural identity of the inhabitants of the Montalvo canton, some of the specific objectives are to document the history of the founding of the Montalvo canton and create 11 audiovisual stories to later disseminate it on the platforms. digital with social networks of the GRAHU project. to know the history of the canton. To carry out this whole process, a qualitative methodology is chosen to focus on social phenomena and their meanings. Qualitative interviews are considered professional conversations oriented towards social research, which require preparation and skill on the part of the interviewer. The result of the exposure of Montalvo's history and culture in education promotes respect for diversity and greater inclusion. The dissemination of new audiovisual narratives related to the history, traditions and culture of the Montalvo canton strengthens the community, fostering collaboration and the preservation of cultural heritage. In conclusion, the deep understanding of the history, culture and traditions of the Ecuadorian peoples can be determined, especially the Montalvo canton that faces the lack of audiovisual strategies to disseminate their cultural identity, which reduces the roots and community belonging. The poor diffusion also affects tourism and local productivity.
