Estrategias de prevención y erradicación de la violencia de género en el ámbito universitario. Una aproximación a las concepciones de estudiantes universitarios en Quito durante el año 2023

Abstract

This research addresses the problem of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in a private university in the city of Quito-Ecuador during 2023, whose approach is based on the perceptions that the student body has about the conception of GBV and its manifestations in the university environment, the coping with these situations by the students, in addition, their perception of the university as a place free of GBV is investigated and finally as the institutional response through strategies for the prevention and eradication of GBV undertaken by the Higher Education Institution whether or not they help to resolve the problem and how this impacts the student population. To systematize this problem, a mixed approach was used, with the application of the survey as a quantitative technique and the focus group as a qualitative exploratory technique, also supporting the analysis of the findings with scientific bibliographic research to delve deeper into the concepts.
