La evangelización ad gentes en la zona 5 y 6 del Vicariato Apostólico de Puyo: realidad y desafíos

Abstract

It shows a descriptive analysis of the context of evangelization ad gentes of the “Vicariato Apostólico de Puyo”, through interviews and dialogues with the communities, under the see, judge and act method. The purpose is to identify the challenges and lines of action of zone 5 and 6, to revitalize evangelization and overcome the difficulties of the mission, which are: little presence of missionaries, low accessibility of sacraments, presence of sects, difficult access to communities, low knowledge of the native language. The “Vicariato Apostólico de Puyo” presents the following challenges: missionary interculturalization, the struggle for the vindication of women and the search for native vocations for priestly, religious and missionary life. The evangelization strategies are centered on 4 pastoral lines: women's ministry, youth ministry, formation of ministers and catechists, and the promotion of Holy Popular Missions in communities and indigenous peoples.
