Análisis del ausentismo laboral en el sector hotelero de Guayaquil, año 2021

Abstract

The analysis of labor absenteeism in the hotel sector of Guayaquil 2021 – from an economic, productive and business point of view, provides a greater understanding of how this problem influences the development of this important industry inside the Ecuadorian economy, generating clear conclusions and strategies to face the vicissitudes that absenteeism entails in relation to human behavior and its economic impact. Based on this, the objectives of the research were to analyze labor absenteeism in the hotel sector of Guayaquil, as an instrument to propose improvements that give access to the sustained growth of the sector. The methodology used was descriptive level. In addition, the level of labor absenteeism in this sector was identified, through surveys directed at collaborators within this industry, along with researching the economic impact of labor absenteeism in the Guayaquil hotel industry, interviewing managers, directors or owners of hotels of the port city. Based on such findings, conclusions and a discussion were determined in which the impact of labor absenteeism in the hotel industry was identified; aspects such as greater indebtedness, loss of profitability, decreased sales and less operational maneuvering are elements that were identified, and that are consistent with the analysis of the inter-annual percentage variation of financial indicators of the hotel sector – which reveal that financially the hotel industry has suffered an impact and economic decline.
