| Abstract: | When mining companies settle in the Amazon jungle, they not only impact the environment, but also disrupt the daily life of the women of the Shuar communities, thus the expectations in mining activity as a source of wealth are diluted in the face of the hardships of the force alive and to the power relations that are established. |
| Translated abstract: | Las empresas mineras al instalarse en la selva amazónica no solo impactan el medio ambiente, sino que trastocan la vida cotidiana de las mujeres de las comunidades Shuar, así las expectativas en la actividad minera como fuente de riqueza se diluyen frente a las penurias de la fuerza viva y a las relaciones de poder que se establecen. |
