Niveles de estrés en docentes de una Institución Educativa de la ciudad de Quito en el período 2021-2022 posterior al confinamiento por Covid-19

Abstract

The present research with the theme Stress levels in teachers of an educational institution of the city of Quito in the period 2021-2022 after the confinement by Covid-19, has as general objective to identify the stress levels in teachers working in an educational institution of the city of Quito post-pandemic, as well as to demonstrate its possible effects. We based our methodology on a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional approach; by means of data collection through the application of the ED-6 Scale that measures Stress in Teachers, which consists of 77 items grouped into 6 subscales such as Anxiety, Depression, Pressures, Maladaptive Beliefs, Demotivation and Poor coping, the same that allow identifying symptoms associated with Stress through a Likert scale, and their respective conversions from the percentiles. We worked with a total population of 28 teachers who agreed to participate in the research while maintaining the ethical criteria. It could be seen that the total population maintains a high level of stress because it is in a percentile higher than 80, in addition to this it was identified that most teachers have significant symptomatology within each of the subscales. It is recommended in future research to analyze independently whether this population already has a mental disorder for subsequent therapeutic intervention.
