Abstract

The following inquiry has the title "The continuous improvement in the production and dispatch chains in the poultry industry" aims to implement continuous improvement processes to meet the needs of the local market through production, competitive distribution and excellent service, indicating the use of Lean Manufacturing through the 5S methodology, implementing Check List-type self-assessments, measuring productivity and efficiency, being able to eliminate the bottlenecks present within the production chain. As a final result, the improvement in these mentioned areas was obtained, showing a positive increase of 48% through the 5S proposal and highlighting a growth in efficiency and productivity of 13.5%. It was concluded that the activities with enhancement in their operation and with an improvement in the quality of the products that are distributed maintain a competitive price in the market through tools such as 5S and Just in Time.
