Abstract

This document intends to analyze if Guayaquil´s Catholic Church is prepared, both in its form and in content, to be a cultural agent in the city; an architectural space that is more than just a building. In addition to the aforementioned, this document seeks to deepen if the Church’s spaces, which are full of symbolism and art, not only in its physical characteristics but also in its call to humanize, since it´s after all part of its mission and apostolic work, can use art as a tool to raise awareness its believers more efficiently. This brief analysis does not pretend that the church takes the role that corresponds to governmental or educational entities. - Evangelism, Culture, Art, Church, Sensitivity
