| Abstract: | Approaching the menstrual cycle only from biology and ignoring its symbolic meaning, as the Andean cosmovision does, creates women who are not very sensitive to their instincts, insecure about their femininity. In this research we expose the ancestral wisdom of Andean women in Ecuador regarding the moon and its relationship with the menstrual cycle. |
| Translated abstract: | Abordar el ciclo menstrual tan solo desde la biología y desconocer su significado simbólico, como lo hace la cosmovisión andina, crea mujeres poco sensibles a sus instintos, inseguras de su feminidad. En esta investigación exponemos la sabiduría ancestral de mujeres andinas en Ecuador con respecto a la luna y su relación con el ciclo menstrual. |
