Abstract: | This article details the design and simulation of three microstrip antennas with a rectangular patch in the millimeter wave band (mmW) at the resonance frequencies: 60, 67 and 74 GHz using the Ansys HFSS software, achieving adequate results of the reflection coefficient (𝑆11), voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and radiation pattern. The three antennas were designed with the dimensions obtained from the mathematical calculation where the results obtained are outside the target values, so the design parameters were adjusted, achieving a reflection coefficient in values between -20 to -30 dB, VSWR of 1, 0472 dB for 60 GHz, 1.0999 dB for 67.0125 GHz and 1.0370 dB for 74 GHz. The results indicate that there is a proportional and non-proportional correlation between the frequency and the offsets, which denotes a real difference in the behavior of each parameter in the mathematical designs compared to the designs adjusted by 0.7%, except for the values of the width of the patch that has a factor close to 15% of increase, and the values of the width of the substrate and ground with a factor of approximately 7% increase. |
