| Abstract: | The water quality of the Canal Internacional Zarumilla was evaluated by applying the Water Quality Index and biological indicators: BMWP-Col, IBF-PR and AMBI. In addition, the anthropic activities of the study area were identified; Environmental impacts were identified and valued using the Importance Matrix. Finally, a comparison of the results with the National Environmental Regulations was made. |
| Translated abstract: | Se evaluó la calidad del agua del canal internacional Zarumilla mediante la aplicación del Índice de Calidad del Agua e indicadores biológicos: BMWP-Col, IBF-PR y AMBI. Además, se identificó las actividades antrópicas del área de estudio; se identificó y valoró los impactos ambientales mediante la Matriz de Importancia. Finalmente se realizó una comparación de resultados con la Normativa Ambiental nacional. |
