Estudio intercultural sobre la memoria colectiva alrededor de la fiesta religiosa de San Pedro y San Pablo de Pedro Moncayo

Abstract

This academic paper, which has as title INTERCULTURAL STUDY ABOUT THE COLECTIVE MEMORY AROUND THE RELIGIOUS FESTIVAL OF SANPEDRO AND SAN PABLO DE PEDRO MONCAYO, consists of three fundamental parts to establish the importance of collective memory in order to keep alive the traditions and customs of the communities, as well as form a close link that this has with social communication. In the first part of the document, you can find the introduction where some important details are presented to know a little more in depth about the festivity to be studied in Pedro Moncayo. To continue, the theorical perspective is developed with the citation of several authors, which helps to a better understanding of the collective memory and the role played by communication. In the second instance, methodology and instruments, which were applied to the cultural managers of the canton and the young people who participate actively in the festivities of the place, will be found. To end, the third part shows the results obtained in the interviews, applying the respective comparisons to accomplish necessary purposes of this academic article.
