Factores que influyen en la sostenibilidad financiera de la seguridad social y las compañías aseguradoras más grandes del Ecuador

Abstract

Prepaid medicine in Ecuador has grown a lot in recent years, however there are laws, rules and regulations that were developed in 2016 and approved in October 2017, seeking to regulate companies that offer health insurance and medical care. The impact that this law would have would be notorious and observable at the time, there being a substantial loss of clients that the insurers decided to leave aside in order to sustain the additional costs that the law would imply. Through an analysis of the sector we seek to determine the sustainability of the public and private health network, evaluating and establishing the main consequences in the application of this law.
