| Abstract: | This article analyzes the impact of shrimp sector and its exports on the Guayas province growth. To develop this study, a quantitative research was settled between years 2013 and 2018. The variables that were used for the research were the real GDP growth in Guayas and the exports level of shrimp. The results show a positive correlation between both variables. This result denotes the importance of shrimp sector in the growth of the referred province. |
| Translated abstract: | Este artículo analiza el impacto del crecimiento del sector camaronero y sus exportaciones sobre el crecimiento en la provincia del Guayas. Para su desarrollo se planteó un estudio cuantitativo durante el período del 2013 al 2018. Las variables utilizadas fueron el crecimiento del PIB real de Guayas y de las exportaciones de camarón. Los resultados muestran una correlación positiva entre ambas variables que denota la importancia que tiene el sector camaronero sobre el crecimiento de la mencionada provincia. |
