Video reportaje sobre la representación simbólica cultural del Pase del Chagra en el Cantón Mejía

Abstract

This investigative work was carried out with the aim of making the different contents and symbolic representations of the Chagra Pass visible, in the Machachi parish, Mejía canton of the Pichincha province, seeking to identify and promote the vast culture of this celebration. In the present investigation, a field technique or methodology and investigative instruments such as: ethnography in communication, in-depth interviews and testimonies of the general public from different communities in Chagras were used, with the interest of collecting information from the population. of the canton and to know the true origin of the mentioned festival. With the data collected, we proceeded to analyze and interpret them and with it to make a video report with the aim of promoting and making visible the value of the culture and the festival of the Chagra Pass as a symbol of the strength and work of the Machachi population, in this way contribute to the promotion within the Ecuadorian cultural field.
