Recuperación y sistematización de la etnohistoria de las comunidades indígenas de la parroquia Zumbahua, para fortalecer y enriquecer los contenidos del área de ciencias sociales de la educación básica

Abstract

The recovery and systematization of the ethnohistory of the indigenous communities of the Zumbahua parish, to strengthen and enrich the contents of the social sciences area of basic education allowed to recover the traditions and culture that could be lost in time. An investigative and descriptive process was carried out that seeks to spread the oral tradition of the people of Zumbahua. One of them refers to the actions carried out for the recovery of their lands. Some leaders such as: Olmedo Ante Espín, Daniel Guanotuña Riofrío and Cleotilde Osorio provided through their stories, their experiences and memories that allowed them to claim their ideals, reason for their struggle. In community organizations it survives in the midst of its traditions, customs and values of a struggling people. Myths and traditions such as the legend of Quilotoa, the condor in love and Cerro Padre Paw have passed from generation to generation and should continue in the memory of the new generations.
