| Abstract: | The human being is bound to give value to their beliefs; Catholicism is one of the religious beliefs with the largest number of followers in Ecuador. Therefore, there are institutions that are linked to religion, such as the Salesian Polytechnic University Guayaquil (UPSG), an institution that has different departments, including the Department of Salesian Youth Ministry, which through its different activities It guides the linking and sensitization of the university community towards the most vulnerable sectors of the city, in order to build a more equitable and solidary society. |
| Translated abstract: | El ser humano está atado a darle valor a sus creencias; el catolicismo es una de las creencias religiosas con mayor número de seguidores en el Ecuador. Por lo tanto, existen instituciones que están ligadas a la religión como, por ejemplo, la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana sede Guayaquil (UPSG), institución que cuenta con distintos departamentos, entre ellos el departamento de Pastoral Juvenil Salesiana, que a través de sus diferentes actividades orienta a la vinculación y sensibilización de la comunidad universitaria hacia los sectores más vulnerables de la ciudad, con el fin de construir una sociedad más equitativa y solidaria. |
