| Abstract: | Las salvaguardias en Ecuador afectan a la industria automotriz especialmente a la marca Chevrolet, que involucra el factor social, económico y recurso humano inmerso de forma directa e indirecta en el sector automotriz perjudicando a la matriz productiva a la que pertenece, sin embargo, estas medidas son de emergencia para proteger la industria interna del país que es amenaza ante la creciente importación de este rubro, con restricciones temporales en industrias que no están preparadas para enfrentar este cambio. Al aplicar aranceles a las importaciones, que son medidas que grava el país a la entrada de una mercancía extranjera, ha provocado que las auto partes que adquiere la marca Chevrolet para ensamblar sus vehículos incrementen su precio, por lo cual la adquisición de vehículos nuevos en el mercado de la ciudad de Quito se verá disminuida en un porcentaje considerable afectando de forma directa la industria automotriz de esta ciudad. |
| Translated abstract: | The safeguards in Ecuador affect the automotive industry especially the Chevrolet brand, which involves the social, economic and human resources directly and indirectly immersed in the automotive sector, damaging the productive matrix to which it belongs, however, these measures Are of emergency to protect the domestic industry of the country that is threatening to the increasing importation of this item, with temporary restrictions in industries that are not prepared to face this change. By imposing tariffs on imports, which are measures imposed by the country upon the entry of foreign goods, it has caused the auto parts acquired by the Chevrolet brand to assemble its vehicles to increase its price, so that the acquisition of new vehicles in the market of the city of Quito will be diminished in a considerable percentage affecting of directly way the automotive industry of this city. |
