| Abstract: | El presente ensayo realiza un análisis de la participación ciudadana en las actuales democracias representativas y los desafíos para mejorar esta democracia liberal mediante el mayor involucramiento de la ciudadanía en la vida política de sus comunidades. Para lo cual se acude al nuevo marco jurídico que incluye la participación ciudadana establecido en la Constitución de la República del año 2008, creada en Montecristi. Se analizarán las posibilidades de una consolidada participación ciudadana en el contexto del gobierno de Alianza País y la promoción de la misma, en los gobiernos autónomos descentralizados, para lo cual se tomará como ejemplo el caso de Distrito Metropolitano de Quito Zona Centro en el año 2015 |
| Translated abstract: | The following essay demonstrates an analysis of the participation of citizens in the current democratic representations and the challenge to improve this liberal democracy through the political involvement of citizens in their communities. For this, we will turn to the new juridical frame that includes the participation of citizens which was established in the Constitution of the Republic in the year 2008, created in Montecristi. We will analyze the possibilities of a consolidated citizen participation in the context of the Alianza País government and its own promotion in the decentralized autonomous governments. For this we will use as an example the case of the Metropolitan District of Quito Zona Centro in the year 2015 |
