| Abstract: | The main objective of this thesis was to optimize the fuel system of the concrete mixer trucks of San Eduardo Plant from Holcim Ecuador in order to reduce filter changes, fuel injection pump and injectors' replacements, also to reduce toxic gas emissions and therefore costs. To achieve all of these, sorne specific objectives were set such as: the analysis of the overall operation of the curren! fuel system, improvement of the curren! filtering system, comparison and rneasurement of the emission of polluting gases from the curren! system versus the proposed system to be implemented. |
| Translated abstract: | El objetivo principal de esta tesis fue el de optimizar el sistema de combustible en los mixers de la planta San Eduardo de Holcim Ecuador, para disminuir el cambio de filtros, bomba de inyección, inyectores y emisiones de gases tóxicos, a fin de reducir costos, para lo cual se plantearon objetivos específicos tales como: analizar el funcionamiento integral del actual sistema de combustible, mejorar el sistema de filtrado, medir la emisión de gases contaminantes del actual sistema versus el sistema a implementar. |
