Sobreprotección Infantil y sus Repercusiones en el Desarrollo Emocional: Un Estudio de Caso en Infantes de Primero de Básica

Abstract

The purpose of this research document is to analyze the child overprotection that is generated by parents and its repercussions on the emotional development of infants in First Grade. It should be noted that the research work was oriented based on a qualitative approach, its scope was descriptive and explanatory, the method that was applied for the investigation corresponds to the ethnographic method, which consisted of three moments. In the same way, the interview was carried out as a research technique and a questionnaire based on open questions was applied as an instrument. The sample population to whom the interview was carried out was: two initial teachers and two child psychologists. From the interviews carried out, relevant information was obtained based on the causes that originate the overprotective behaviors in the parents of the infants, in the same way important data was obtained in relation to the consequences that occur in the emotional development of the infants. as a result of child overprotection. Finally, to culminate with the research work, it was concluded that there are various causes that lead parents to carry out these behaviors in their children, some of these causes will be briefly mentioned below: fear that the child will suffer a setback during his childhood, it can also originate because the father or mother were overprotected subjects in their childhood, it is also essential to know and identify the consequences that are triggered as a result of this problem, emphasizing the emotional development of infants. It should be noted that the Emotional development of an infant is paramount, because it builds various processes that will provide the opportunity to acquire various skills to function on its own.
