Video documental sobre la memoria social del equipo de fútbol ecuatoriano Independiente del Valle

Abstract

The objective of this research work is to narrate the social memory and history that develops around the “Club Especializado de Alto Rendimiento Independiente del Valle” (IDV), where this team has demonstrated a social change within Ecuadorian soccer in the course of its institutional life in its 50 years of journey within the national soccer, giving main importance to its relationship with the fans, its values and institutional identity, as well as to the children. Qualitative research techniques were used to collect testimonies, experiences and thoughts of the main actors in the history of Independiente del Valle through interviews. Other techniques used were field and participatory observation, through which it was observed how the fans act when cheering for their team from the stands during competitions. Finally, this research will be reflected in a documentary video where, through testimonies, photographs and videos, the history of IDV will be told, to make visible the meaning that this club has for its fans, players and leaders, with a focus on the birth of the team, what its supporters mean, and the collective thought that it is a different club.
